Hi everyone,
I just got one of the "limited edition" envy 14's with the radience screen. For some reason DVD's are getting stuck in the drive to a point where im not sure if its going to come out or not. Is there any eject button aside from the one on the keyboard? or any fixes would be appreciated
Thanks

There is an eject button on the top right of the keyboard, the key between "del" and "prt sc".
My buddy has that problem too.
At first I thought it was the drive that was too weak to push the CD as it's getting the CD out after a few tries eventually.
Closer inspection revealed the opening front of the drive was not completely parallel. The top part of the opening is actually slightly bending into the opening. I strongly believe this prevents the CD to be ejected reliably.
After noticing that we saw the gray part of the front actually pulls slightly away from the brushed brown aluminium.
On top of that He also has a dead pixel but that one is very minor as it's tough to see (radiance pixels are so small).
Now he wonders what he should do, as he is worried they would take away his radiance when they swap the body ... -
thanks, I was worried that it was a flaw in the mechanism or osmething. I basically held the envy at an angle and I guess that was enough to get it out. So if its just something with the case, then i guess i dont mind stretching it a little bit. dont use the drive much anyway.

Anyway, you might still want to give HP a call even if you don't plan on returning it, so either to document, and you will be offered some $$$$$$ back! As to how much, I'm not sure. People with defective radiance screens are getting HP to give them $100 so they just keep the display. Anyone with dead pixels should call HP and either get the a new radiance from their warrany supply if any left, or keep it and get at least $100. The idea is to be satisfied with your purchase in the end. Good luck.

my buddy $100 offered for his dead pixel, but he recently found out about the cd problem/bent front.
I considermyself rather lucky that my only problem is a vibrating CD while playing... it probably will die some day but that's minor
