I'm looking to buy an COMPAQ Presario CQ56-104SA in the next few days. Its currently on sale for £279.99 ($435.00). Which is about £100 cheaper.

The thing about the laptop is the ram, I use a hell load of ram and like to upgrade it up to 8GB after purchase as it says on the currys website; Here says it can be done.

But where do I purchase the ram modules, I cant find much information about how many slots it has (guessing it has 2) and what module I need to buy.

Any one attempted this before, I would appreciated knowledge and help

I also have a CQ56, and I successfully installed 8GB of ram. I used DDR3-1066 from Mushkin and it works flawlessly. Windows Experience Index went up after removing the 2GB and 1GB modules previously installed from the factory.
