I just ran CPUZ and I noticed a few troubling things.

When I am in power saver mode (min pstate= 5% max processor state= 50%) the CPU is running at 1560mhz, when it should be running at most at 1ghz since i have a 2ghz cpu.

When I am in high performance mode (min/mix processor state=100%) it keeps fluctuating between 1100mhz to 1900mhz...

This is weird. I have an hp dv2500 wit a T7250.

Any ideas? Is it that CPUZ is reading it incorrectly or what? Thanks.

Doesn't make sense though. It should be at 1ghz in power saver and 2ghz in high performance, speedstep or not?

try run coretemp and see what it shows for the cpu clock. For me the performance and reliablity monitor cpu clock never goes below 66%. But when I load up coretemp it shows the clock, and I have seen it go as low as 167Mhz. So give that a try and see what it says.
