    Hey guys,

I recently sent my laptop in for repair as the dvd drive had a problem and HP replaced the dvd drive and the top and bottom plastic covers of the laptop. Now the processor's voltage is much higher than before???

Prior to repair: CPU voltage 0.95-1.25v
    After repair: CPU voltage 1.01-1.363v

It's really odd though, as HP have not touched the cpu or anything, so i am confused as to what is causing it and its causing my temps to run higher also. Could there be any other problems associated with the higher voltage? Do you know what could have caused the increase in voltage?

    HP dv2500 series Special Edition
    CPU: T7500 Core 2 Duo @ 2.2Ghz
    Bios: F.2B
    OS: Windows XP

Any help would be very much appreciated

    Thank you very much

Where are you getting the voltages from? Its displaying desktop equivalent voltages of your CPU

If your using CPU-z higher than v1.41 then its showing incorrect voltages.

I was using everest ultimate edition. umm...im not sure whether they are desktop equivalent, but i dont think they are, it just tells me the current voltage

i just tried a cpu-z v1.41 and the core voltage agrees with what it was previously, but why does everest show differently, also core temp agrees with cpu-z v1.41

but RMclock will not let it undervolt below 1.01v and shows that the maximum voltage is 1.36v and minimum 1.01v???

You CPU is set to Desktop mode.

Go to the 'Advanced CPU settings page' > Tick Mobile > Apply and Restart RMclock

If your going to undervolt follow this guide
