This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    CQ40 --- Autorun

    Last month, I received an article that said:
    * With pressing a Shift button and hold it.
    * Plug-in the FDD.
    === Windows' Autorun temporary are being disabled.
    But when I'd tried to follow the instruction above ... the Autorun/AutoPlay still appeared.

    So I follow the other instruction, which said to change the value of USBStor within regedit ... done ... re-start the machine ... and all device, which utilized USB ports were un-detect-able.

    I just wants to disabled windows Autorun/AutoPlay while I plug-in the FDD only!
    Please informed me ....
