Has anyone tried unofficial BIOS versions F.11E or F.31B on the CQ40-CQ45-DV4 and know what issues they address?

Thanks for the reply and link Dave. I've been using F.11C for the last 8 months mainly because of the support with the audio which under the normal BIOS updates, F.04, F.12, F.13, F.22 needed OS patches for it to work under Linux, XP and possibly other OS's. I gave up hoping HP would come out with an official BIOS to address the problems that F.11C solved when IIRC in F.22 the option to boot from eSata was taken away. :(

I guess I'll probably have to try them out myself but because I hacked my BIOS to use the hard drive controller in native IDE rather than AHCI, it takes a bit more than just flashing a new BIOS.

as this might give a hardware failure
    like

    1. No display
    2. Hanging issue
    3. 104 wireless card not detecting error
