I have recently been pondering exactly what the Brightview Infinity Display looks like, and since there are no Best Buys or other computer stores in the vicinity, I was wondering if any of you could post pictures. I've seen plenty of pics of the brightview screen, but i want to see what the brightview infinity display looks like. Ive looked through all the lounges and have not found an answer..
    Thanks

Think of the standard, glossy display with even more gloss, if you will.
The one I checked out at BB looked pretty good. Tons of relections, but
I get those with my regular, glossy screen, too.

Here's a picture of the infinity display.

It's a plastic covering over the LCD frame.

Wow, so that could help protect the screen as well. Nice. :)

interesting, i wonder what it looks like in a real life picture, rather than a add, because that doesnt look that glossy.

It's fairly glossy. It depends on what you'll be doing though.

ill just be doing normal things, no gaming or anything like that. Does the infinity view support a higher screen resolution?

Screen resolution isn't affected by the Infinity Display.

They offer all screens with the Infinity Display.

How much more reflective is the infinity than the regular one, if I was say, playing COD4 with the ceiling light on? How much lighting is too much before it gets tough to see?

Looks good but I would be worried about too many reflections.

I found a brightview infinity display picture, granted its on a dv7t, it should still look the same to the one that will appear on a dv4t except it will be smaller :)

here is what a regular brightview screen looks like, granted this one is the LED display, but it doesn't have the infinity option.

Yup, the regular Brightview has a recessed screen within the frame and the Infinity is flush mount. Either way, there is a "border" around the screen (as the LCD itself does not go directly to the edge of the lid).......

I like the infinity view much better than the regular old screen. I guess its a matter of taste and function.

Yeah, it does look sharp. I don't know why they charge $50 for it though, as it offers no extra functionality......

Thanks for posting the pics...I was debating whether I made the right decision to get the "Infinity" display. I got on gut instinct and because I like my electronics to look good.

From those pics it looks like I chose correctly.

I might be getting another DV7t with the Infinity display option so I will post comparison pictures like I did the DV9700.

the angles that the pictures were taken at is what i think is fooling both you and I, i talked to a hp rep and they said that they are equally reflective. not sure if i should take their word though..
