Before I begin I'd like to apologize if these questions have been asked before, just point me in the direction of the thread.

    Background
I'm looking at getting an envy 15 3247NR because damn this thing looks sweeeeet, and the specs are legit. I don't mind paying 100$ more for the good looks this provides over the Lenovo Y580. I wish I paid more attention to reviews and user reviews before I bought my current envy 17 cause I'm kind of tired of putting up with its crap. HP has been amazing to me through it all and have done literally everything they can to make this laptop more liveable.... because i spent 200$ on the extra warranty lol. Anyways if you're an envy 15 32xx series owner, I would really appreciate it if you could answer the following questions

    Questions
    - What is this laptop like to live with day to day?

    - What are the daily occurrences and annoyances that you have?

    - Were you one of the people who had Quality Control issues, if so what (Orange, bad touchpad, denting, faulty dvd tray, dead pixel)?

    - if you did get a bad model, how many models later did you finally get an acceptable one?

    - which issues persist software and BIOS updates?

    - does the dvd tray always make a noise when resuming from sleep?

    - I'm aware a good SSD will keep the wristpad cool and improve battery life so ill be swapping out the hdd and putting one in. any objections or suggestions? I need a capacity of 256gb

    Most important issues for me
for my current envy, i have to deal with things like:
    - hot wrist pad because that's where the gpu is
    - loud fans (so i can't take it to class)
    - abhorrent battery life
    - cpu and gpu are pretty much binary, super performance or off. this thing cannot function in power saver mode. it lags so hard that I have to keep it at performance settings all the time.

Hp had to do some redesigning to get rid of the above known problems for the envy 17 such as coolsense. so if the envy 15 32xx has any of it then I can't buy this. Thanks alot for your help guys!

edit: I know I'm a newbie and this post may not garner a lot of replies but heres proof of the fact that I'm on of you guys :) http://i.imgur.com/jO9DqBq.jpg
