    Can I Pre-Order The Envy 14 Yet?

    Title says it all... Can I Pre-Order the Envy 14 yet and if so, how do I do it? And if not, when can I?

    No ... June 27th is the release date. The Envy 17 could not be preordered before its release date of May 19. I am assuming the 14 is the same.

    Thats stupid. I could have sworn I saw somewhere where you could call HP and pre-order it...

    This is just my guess here. This so called "pre-order" by having to call HP is nothing more than gauging interests on the Envy 14. Since HP cleverly has not officially announced the base specs, it wouldn't surprise me if the more people call, the lower the base specs and/or higher prices on the options. Never mind big Bing cashback, which isn't likely to coincide with the Envy 14's release.

    I don't believe they did this with the Envy 17, offering to take your "preorder" by phoning HP. And guess what, 25% Bing cashback was active when the Envy 17 was released (i.e. HP started taking orders on it).

    DO NOT CALL.

    I saw on the website, you can call and "reserve" it, I am not sure whats the difference between that "pre-order"

    Look at the bottom of the page at the asterisk footnote. "notify when becomes available" or something like that is there. Doesn't reserve you a laptop.
