    Hey there,

At present I have a "VGA - VGA" link from my Dv5 to the panel. I also have a HDMI port on my DV5, so If I purchase a "HDMI - HDMI" cable can I also extend my monitor that way?

    Cheers,

yea. you can. you just need an HDMI cord to go from your DV5. (this assuming of course that both your DV5 and your TV have HDMI ports.) i'd recommend buying the cord online and not from a store because of the markup.

Of course but you need to buy a good quality cable or it won't be worth the hassle using HDMI. :)
