This would be my first laptop and I am fairly new to the computer buying game. I am almost sold on the zv5000 but had a couple of questions. Does anyone know which 15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800) or 15.4" WVA WSXGA+ (1680x1050 would be better. I heard that the WSXGA will look smaller over all and Brightview is a better choice.
Also if you can recommend anything other than what I have below that would be helpful.
    Thanks, mike.

Well put it this way. WXGA is the same thing in resolution terms as an XGA screen. It is called a WXGA because it is a wide-XGA-active matrix display. However, the WSXGA is a wide-super-XGA-active matrix display. I would recoomend the WXSGA because it offers a higher native resolution. Unlike, the WXGA with a (1024 x 768) native resolution. If you are going to be using multimedia applications get the WSXGA because WXGA has a low native resolution.

Windows - The operating system that runs the world.

Toshiba - Quality, price, and features!

Thanks for the reply, I am most likly going to get the WSXGA but do you or anyone else know why they cant have the brightview option on the WSXGA option. Aside from the better res. in the pixels will the brightview give off a sharper image.
    Thanks again,
    Mike
