Sorry if it has been answered already, I just got my Vista upgrade DVD's from HP. I don't want to use the upgrade utility DVD because I don't want to overwrite my HD during the instalation. Can I just use the Vista Express DVD to upgrade without wiping my HD?

Has anyone tried this? What are the results?

My Vista upgrade DVD disabled the upgrade option, forcing me to do a clean install. I decided it best to wipe the drive at that point.

So you skipped using the upgrade utility disk? I don't want to use it because I don't want to wipe all my programs and then have to reinstal them. I wish could just clone the hard drive and then just do a clean install. I don't know how to do it though and I don't want to spend any money doing it.

    Any thoughts?

Can you post the link to the thread (if there is one) that will help me set up my comp. to dual boot.

    I have XP MCE.
