    Can I use a 135 watt adapter on a 3 in 1 nas dock

    in place of the 180 watt ine if I don't put my laptop on it ? the 180 stopped working and I really need the nas as a network server , just don't want to blow anything .

    Normally as long as the voltage and polarity matches you would be okay with more watts... however your power supply offers less than the needed. Its better not to, but if the voltage and polarity matches I would just go for it. The nas component of it (just searched looks like a neat device) won't use all that much power anyways.

    that didn't work , different end piece on the 135 advanced dock ac adapter . T 90 watt notebook adapter fits but it does not turn the dock on . guess I have to wait untill the right ac adapter gets here .
    Not impressed with HP , this is the 3rd ac adapter I jhave had to replace in 2 years , I have a dell adapter that has been runnung for 6 years now 24/7 and still works . For the price they charge they should last at least 5 years
