    Can anyone get their V2000Z to display battery time remaining?

    Yeah, its a well known bug on many HP systems. Interestingly(AFAIK) only their Intel based systems have the time reporting feature while their AMD based system show just the percent remaining.

    None that I know of. I have tried other third party tools(on my r3000) but all of them just show the percent remaining.

    do you have a favorite app to calculate what the actual battery life is?

    Try BatteryMonitor. If I remember correctly, it did kinda estimate the battery time remaining. I dont know whether it will work with the V2000Z, though it is worth a shot...
