Can anyone try these drivers to see if it fixes the OpenGL issue/switching issue?

I would try myself except on my system I find it really hard to upgrade CCC. Everytime I do it CCC won't open again. Driver installs fine.

Well I finally managed to get the CCC to install and open. One new option that I dont remember in my old CCC is a checkbox that you can check for CCC to prompt you every time you open a program that is not assigned high performance or power saving.

So I tried Minecraft and it prompted me to assign high performance or power saving...I assigned high performance of course....loaded up the games....and still the same FPS. Not using the 6770 at all.

Looks like this leaked preview is not the answer we're looking for :(

And yep, very cheeky/underhanded of them. I have lost faith in HP in general. Actually, also with AMD. As they are equally to blame.

On my next refresh for all my graphics cards (desktop or laptop) I will be opting for NVIDIA.

I'm looking for something with an Nvidia also. ticks me off that I can't have a properly functioning DV6 though. I really liked it (other than the SG issue).

It's a shame, youre right. The DV6 is nice but this issue annoys the hell out of me too. I can't return my DV6 so I'm just going to make do and not use OpenGL programs on it until (big IF) they fix it.

On a more positive note...this 11.7 driver set has boosted my 3DMark Vantage score from about 6600ish to 7000. Big improvement for DirectX gaming.

:) It took me a couple of readings to see it, too.

I have a dv6t but how do I check which drivers my dv6t is running?
