Just wondering is it possible to play PS3 or Xbox 360 on the HDX16t via HDMI cables?

No, the HDMI on the laptops are "output" only. This has been asked a bunch of times.

It would be a great feature though, but not possible at all. Sorry dude.

they are both good laptops but different. the dv7 has a 17 inch screen and has a regular screen ratio (not widescreen) the hdx16 on the other hand has a 16inch screen with 16:9 ratio which means true widescreen. you should check them out in person to see the differences in physical appearance. as for specs they can both be customized similarly but you might find small variations. again both are good laptops but youll have to check out the hp website to see which one suits you more regarding features.

You will need a really good tv tuner to hook up your PS3 to your PC.

I asked someone via HP chat today and they said its possible. Can anyone with a HDx16t and a PS3/Xbox 360 confirm this?
