    As the title says:

    - run your nc8430 on battery, logged in Windows at idle
    - disable WiFi with the button above the keyboard
    - disconnected all perihepals (external CRT etc.)
    - connect a USB mouse to the left USB port
    - listen to the left speaker area

Can you hear a periodical buzzing noise ?

    - now connect the USB mouse to one of the right USB ports

Can you hear a constant buzzing noise ?

I am asking because I have claimed this using my CarePack. HP serviceman replaced my motherboart 3 times, together with all other components and the noise is still there. They want to take my nc8430 back and return my money, but I want to know if this is a design fault of all nc8430's.

    Thanks,
    Petr
