    Hey guys,

Before purchasing my DV5 I used a Mighty Mouse for my iMac for five years and the thing worked flawlessly.

I purchased some bluetooth Logitech mouse when I bought my DV5 and the thing is absolute cr*p. Its not precise and it mises large chunks of pixels occasionally.

Question... Does this mean ALL bluetooth mice are like this? And that I should by one with a USB transmitter to rectify the prob?

Or should I have a go at another bluetooth mouse? If so, what would you recommend?

    Cheers,

PS: Anyone used this HP mouse?

Bluetooth is a laggy connection. Thats how most BT mouses are.

The Logitech Nano VX is a good wireless mouse. Though it uses a nano USB receiver

I've used a bluetooth mouse before without any problems. However, if you are looking for a nice little mini mouse to tag along with your notebook, then take a look at the following one:

    http://us.kensington.com/html/4398.html

I have owned that mouse for the last 2-3 years and have been extremely happy with it. It's almost exactly precise and it features a way to turn off the mouse in an effort to conserve battery life. That's a big thing nowadays, especially with portability.

Here's an ebay auction that I found for a new one:

    I hope this helps...

The Logitech VX Revolution for sure. I've had it for a year, and it's the best notebook mouse I've ever used.

I second flipfire's recommendation. The USB receiver is so small you can leave it plugged in permanently and the mouse has an on/off switch on the bottom to conserve the battery.

I have the Logitech nano mouse and I absolutely love it. I have used many different kinds of mouse and this one probably has impressed me the most, considering it uses such a small receiver. If you wait for it to go on sale you can get them cheap too. I bought mine from Circuit City and I think it was 20 dollars which is not bad for a mouse this good.

I also own the Logitech Nano mouse and I like three things about it:

    1) Small receiver that you can plug and forget
    2) Very responsive and comes with additional software that you can choose to install at your preference for on the fly sensitivity adjustment and special button assignments for different programs or games
    3) While the mouse is average size, maybe a touch smaller than other notebook mice like the Microsoft 3000, it comes with all the button functionality a standard desktop mouse now and days comes with.

Also, it comes with a travel pouch to keep it clean as well as to store the small USB receiver should you not want to leave it in all the time.

In case you didn't know this, the Nano USB receiver stores in the battery compartment of the mouse (very well designed) if you don't want to leave it plugged into the notebook (I leave mine plugged in all the time).
