and if it can be overclocked, has anyone tried to approach the 9600 pro levels? because there is no definition of pro/non pro on the site, i'm assuming it's the vanilla 9600 that's packed with the zx5000, and I would like to increase it to pro levels if I order this notebook.

its a 9600 m10 for whatever thats worth, regardless it can be overclocked as I and many others have done.

Yes it can. The difference between the two chips is the clock speed.
You will need to upgrade the cooling like I did, check the modding section for details. People say you can't overclock in notebooks. I laugh and point out that my benchmarks are higher than anyone else with this chip.
If you are going to overclock, make sure you get the 128 MB version. It makes the speed increase much more dramatic.
GPU cooling (100°C->75°C)* Inspiron 8600 * 1.8ghz Pentium M * 128 MB Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo (337/242 -> 400/300) * 2x256 MB DDR2700 SDRAM * Aquamark 3: 24058 * 3DMark'03: 3404 * 3DMark'01 SE: 13120
Can the 9600 be overclocked on the zx5000?
