Configuring a system for someone, and I'm not 100% clear...I THINK the G and all DV systems should be able to use any size power supply up through the 120 watt one, so for the spare PSU I'd prefer buying a larger one since why not? But just wanted to check as on HP's site they don't list the DV6z or DV4t as compatible with the 120 watt PSU.

My dv6-7009tx came with the 120W PSU because of the 45W processor and the NVIDIA GT650M. When I try to use a 90W PSU, the laptop complains of insufficient power. So I guess they can.

Any of the dv series can use the 120W psu. Just look for the right plug.
