    Can the HP ze490 take a total 2GB Memory?

    I was told by support that it only supports 1GB total, but some threads say it can take 2GB?

    HP doesnt always have the right information. Later BIOS's could unlock more RAM support but im not definate for your model

    Check www.crucial.com . They have a memory scanning tool there.

    yes it does, I used to have a ze4900, and i did put in 2gigs of ram in it. The ram for that machine is still quite costly currently...
