    Can we upgrade the processor later on a HP Laptop, for example, the 8530p ?

    Yes, to some extent..

    It has to be the same socket CPU

    yes, just make sure it is the same socket type and core number and you should be good to go

    EDIT: Sorry, didn't see your other question about upgrading video. Generally you can't upgrade the video card later on. It is possible if you have a notebook with MXM video card slot and there are some notebooks coming out now with an external GPU option, but for everybody else the answer is no.
