Hey guys, I was wondering if its possible to remove the laptop stickers off of an HP laptop (mine's a HP DV6500t SE) without damaging it. Now, I've googled a bit and seen some ideas (nail polish remover, Goo Gone, eraser), but HP laptop's have an "imprint finish" that I'm afraid I will damage if I try to take the stickers off. Anybody have any ideas on how to do it or have already done it? Thanks!

    John

I just pulled mine off and rubbed any residue with hot water. No damage done to my imprint finish DV6000.

The imprint finish is very durable. I covered mine with a paper towel soaked in isopropyl alcohol, then I peeled them off with my fingernails. Whatever residue remained was easily removed with the alcohol. The surface of the palmrest is actually plastic, not paint like most laptops. So you don't have to worry about rubbing or peeling the finish off as much as you do with other finishes.
