Hi!
I recently purchased HP dv2910us. I just cleaned out Vista and installed Windows XP. All drivers installed fine except for sound. I first installed the Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for HD Audio. Then, I tried installing the Conexant Audio Driver. It says Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver.
I don't know if this is a chipset error or some other error. Please help me get sound on this laptop. I really appreciate it.
Regards,
Aditya

Here are ALL your XP drivers:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&lang=en&dlc=en&product=3177437
DO the nForce chipset first then the MS UAA driver, then audio ,modem, video and then the rest
Its what I get email from Hp to install Xp ... But This system is built for Vista to achieve Good Performance. Though Xp will run more fast than Vista due to Taking less memory -
Hello Aditya,
I too have bought a dv2910us. Could you tell me if you were able to get the sound working with the notebook? Also where you were able to get the other drivers from? Do u plan to install Linux? if so, could you give me some details?
