    Hi all,
I can't turn on the wireless radio on my HP 2510P. On these computers there is a touch sensitive button above the keyboard where you can turn the wireless on/off, among other things. None of these touch sensitive buttons are working correctly; the volume and touchpad disabler respond to touch with a light but don't do anything and the wireless touch button doesn't respond at all with a light. I can't find a way to turn the wireless on aside from this button and all of the HP help topics end up saying "turn your wireless on using the wireless button". There is no fn f combo either.
Anyone know of a way to turn on the wireless aside from this dam button?? I don't give a crap about the functionality of the touch sensitive buttons, I just want my wireless on.
    Thanks!
    Stinky

Is there an option in the wireless manager or something? Also try reinstalling the drivers.

    Hey Peeps,
Problem solved after 1hr 39min on the phone with HP tech support. Rundown in case someone else runs into this problem -
Prior to the phone call I did all this stuff and none of it worked: tried to find another way to turn on wireless card (there is no other way, confirmed by HP tech), changed BIOS options for wlan/lan switching, updated wireless drivers, uninstalled wireless drivers, updated touchpad drivers, reverted back to oldest restore point (July 1).
With tech: checked a ton of settings, uninstalled wireless card drivers, updated BIOS to 18JUN2008 version, updated wireless card drivers, restored BIOS defaults. When it booted after restoring the wireless LED came on and problem was solved.
