    Hello,
I tried to update my graphics drivers to 11.7 today and I got this error message:

My driver upgrade path is this:

    -Stock drivers off HP site
    -11.5b hotfix
    -11.7 update attempt

Does anybody know how to update to the 11.7 drivers off of AMD's website?

Try downloading the drivers from Guru3D.

Same here, just received my 6190US today and updated the bios. Then tried updating graphics drivers and got this error as well.

I may be incorrect in thinking this, but I was under the impression that you could upgrade the driver but not the Catalyst Control Center. That you essentially had to stay with the package offered by HP due to it including the Intel IGP drivers. Is this correct? If it is, then how about just trying to perform a custom installation rather than going with express?

Ok, I figured it out... The catalyst software suite wont work, but if you go to "individual downloads" you can download just the catalyst control center. It worked like a charm...

this is my catalyst control center , or panel , or whatever that's called.
i would like to change it to this :

i read somewhere that i could have this new panel by downloading the new graphic card drivers, but when i tried it , it wouldn't show neither one nor another , so i'd like some help , because for example, playing PES2011, it recognizes the Intel , not AMD 6770 . my laptop is hp dv6-6190 . help please ...

If you have the quad core model:

Just click on this link, save it to somewhere of your choosing, plug your computer in to AC, and open the file (.exe)... This will update your BIOS and allow you to have manual switching.

    ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54001-54500/sp54024.exe

After you finish flashing the new BIOS, restart computer and enter the BIOS. (press the F10 key when the HP logo appears during boot-up). Once you get into the BIOS, go to "System Configuration" and toggle the "switchable graphics mode" from Dynamic to Fixed. After that, just save settings and exit.

You will have to install the stock drivers for your laptop first, then install the new ones on top of that.
