After I'm away from my notebook and it goes to sleep, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to wake it up.

I've tried pressing the power button, tapping keys, rubbing the touchpad, fn+f4, fn+just about everything...

I end up having to hold down the power button for about 5 seconds until the computer shuts down, and then I restart. I've messed with the power options, and can't find anything about not letting me wake the laptop. I've checked the bios, as well, but there are no applicable settings.

    So, what's the secret???

    Thanks!

Did you enable any passwords in the BIOS? The reason I ask, is because my Toshiba has a "lock" key so all I have to do is press it and the screen blanks, hit it again and it comes back. But if I have a password in the BIOS, the screen will not come back until I type the password. Plus, it doesn't prompt me for it, so after hitting the button, I type the password and viola, it's back. This may be a similar issue with your unit. Try disabling all passwords in the BIOS and see what happens.

I checked my bios for passwords, and I also reinstalled my video bios (radeon 9200) that some people had cited as the problem with the inability to wake up the computer...no go.

I tried the registry hack, and that didn't work either!

Hasn't anyone else had this problem?

I finally fixed this probem by installing the omega radion drivers for my video card in case anyone else has had this problem.
