I'm trying to buy an HP dm4t from HP's website and they don't accept my order because I'm using an international credit card!

Is there a way to make this happen? I don't have an U.S. credit card! :(

You could try going through Paypal if you have a paypal account. HP accepts paypal.

Your paypal account would also have to be a US account I believe.
I tried with a paypal account from a different country and it wouldn't go through, there was a message with something like "Item cannot be shipped to your country" or something to that effect.

not to mention that HP might not cover warranty if the laptop screws up overseas.

I suspect that HP could care less about the origin of your credit card. I'm in the US and one of my Visa cards is issued by Banco de Santander and is billed to me in Euros. I use it alongside my US $ billed Amex card without thinking about it.

What they care about is the delivery address. Since HP does business across the world they probably want you to buy from the local HP operating company or dealer/franchise.

Anyway, I'm going with a Dell Studio 14 with almost the same specs I wanted from the HP dm4t I was going to buy (i5-430M, 4GB RAM, 500GB 7200 rpm, ATI Mobility Radeon 4530 512MB, 9-cell battery).

    What do you think?
