Ok so I got my new DV6500t to replace my [ageing] DV6000t. figured lets see what the Vista Experience score is with the nvidia 8400m gs card and all. Well after trying the "Rate this computer" button three times with each time going through the testing motions when its done the window blinks and I never get any score but the same window where it says "Rating: Unrated". I tried this three times and still no rating data. anyone else with this problem?

I had the same problem, reformatted it and it fixed it but I also did a clean install reformat. Now before you go doing all that extreme stuff, WEI is a joke. It doesn't even measure the stuff right. My numbers change all the time for no reason, no driver update, nothing. If you want to really see what your computer can do then download 3dmark and put it thru the real paces and at the end it will compare your system to others similarly spec'd. Hope this helps.

I get a 3.1 because of the low graphics score. I think it's the same with everyone else with the DV6500T and 8400M GS.

I get a 5.8 graphics score with the DV9500T and 8600M GS. My low score is memory at 4.8 (2GB)

Yeah, it's very odd why the score is so low.

    Processor: 4.9
    Memory: 4.8
    Graphics: 3.1
    Gaming Graphics: 4.3
    Primary hard disk: 4.5

    What's a good score on the 3dmark06?

I think the range goes all the way up to 20k. Mine is a mindblowing 2447 :D with the lowest being an 11 and the highest being 20609.

Only a fully-loaded, extreme OC'd desktop can reach the 20k score. At that score, they're on nitrogen cooling.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing when I saw my score. I wonder what the specs were on the highest computer?

It's funny how my laptop struggles to get through 3dmark06, let alone score a decent score.

So bottom line, if my WEI is not working should I just forget about it and move on or can it mean that other things aren't working right? I'm ready to go back to XP but worried that I'm going to have issues with drivers fror the new draft N card, the nvidia 8400m and the finger print reader since these things are very new on this laptop. I hate how slow Vista is to move files over network.

Bottom line if WEI is not working it really doesnt matter IMO. That doesnt meant that other things are working but If other things are not working then you will see these things creep up as you use the computer more and more
