I tried to install a 2nd Win7 x64 on an eSATA drive for my Envy 15 (and failed doing so).

I start from my existing Win7 x64 to where I extracted the Win7 ISO. During setup I load the Intel SATA drivers and select the empty (NTFS pre-formated) eSATA disk as target device. Setup then starts working, reboots, continues to install, then tries to reboot again and fails. After a while the unroll boot starts, tells me that the installation failed, removes the installation, reboots and I end up with my original installation only.

I tried with and without the Intel drivers, both fails...

I did not try booting the installer from a DVD yet, but I doubt that this would make a difference.

    Any ideas?
