I am using TDK 16X DVD+Rs (4.7GB), and it says that I need 3 to do the task.
Just after being prompted to enter the first disc, the program ends saying Creation of disc images has failed.
I have a 100-pack of these DVDs, btw.
Any idea what the problem could be?
Thanks.

Well the first thing to check would be whether the included Sonic burning suite or other software you installed can burn DVDs or not. Have you tried running the recovery utility again? It could be anything at this point, a driver issue, hardware issue with the drive, or maybe some files of the recovery utility got accidentally deleted. If you need, I can burn you a set of recovery discs if you cover the bare cost of the discs and shipping. I made recovery discs with my first laptop from HP, so I still have my 1 use remaining on my current notebook.

I've tried the process a handful of times, and have used a different DVD each time, but to no avail.
Sonic is installed.

You could try doing it with cd's.

It wants 18 for that, so I'll prob pick up a 30 pack at work tomorrow.

My question was if you have been able to burn a DVD in Sonic or any other program at all. I'm curious if you are just having this problem with the recovery disc creator or if you can't burn DVDs at all.
-
Wouldn't you know it.
Just booted it up, and it's in the process of burning the DVDs.
But now the process stops just after halfway through with Error 20. -
*sigh*
Tried it once more, and it all worked perfectly. -
I tried a couple of times before it worked for me. I also had a number of errors. I think they were caused by Sonic. It also causes errors when burning discs on its own. It's never worked quite right. Anyone else have issues with it?

The only problem that I have with sonic is that I get error messages now every time that I close the program. Everything seems to run fine while it's open, but I get the annoying error messages everytime. Somebody tracked it down and said that it is a conflict with Windows Media Player 11, go figure.

Glad you got it to work.
