    Hi guys,
I have envy 3200 . Today when i was trying to play a game name oblivision elder scroll 4, in the video option i cant see AMD graphic card but only built in card.. It comes with 7850 but its not in option. Power cable was also plugged in and in graphic card prefrence i selected exe file and chosed high performance option too but in option > video i cant find 7850.. on high resolution game run slow and i have to reduce resolution like 1600:+++ . And also no antialising .. at least this card should run this game on max resolution ..
    andy suggestion and advise ?
    regards
    K2

hmm since its older games its probably not recognized. try doing this: dl 3dmark11 and start it up before starting the game. u dont have to run the benchmark. just get it to the configuration screen.

    +rep doesnt hurt if i helped :p

I don't know much about graphic switching, but shouldn't this be the answer to a lot of problems? When a card is switched on for one application, as long as that application is on then it should stay on even if you switch windows, right? So just find one application that does switch it on, then leave that one on. Especially if it's a lighter application shouldn't this kill off any graphic switching problem?

well the bad thing is that i dont knw abt graphics but a little bit... i dint understand what paki said in his first post... and also don't understand terran's statement...
when i start any programe/application that use graphic card, a notification appears that this application use graphic card and if i want to set graphic properties for that application.. Then i click ok and it takes me to another window where there is an option that allows me to switch that application/game in power saving mode or high performance mode.. Note: there is no option that i can switch between intel 400 built in graphic card and amd 7850. And i dont like it . There should be an option that if you could chose graphic card .
I have configered many applications as high performance .. like few games that i have installed in my system and a couple of browsers like firefox and google crome , coz i also play online browser based games. But i am not happy with the graphic performance of this laptop... otherwise its fast and it should be fast as it has i7 processor with 8 GB memory..
