    Hello everybody,

I just tested reading same dvds with windows media player in vista but it does not work.
I downloaded the lastest MWP and codecs and I have tested with many dvds but still got the same issue.

It's ok with dvd mp3 and div3 but not a normal DVD movie

Anyone aware of this issue ?

    Please help out :)

    Thanks

You're probably still missing a codec or two...check out K-Lite. I've been using that to make things go 'play.'

I guess it is because it is DRM of vista restrict playback.

I had the same problem, What i had to do was go to the program that lets you decide what the computer should do when you insert differnt types of media, music, dvd, mixed, you get the idea. select the option you want then try it. I had to go to the help menu and type in ENABLE AUTOPLAY to find the options. Before i did this it was detecting all my media as being blank.

Just looked the program i am talking about is in the Control Panel (classic view) Autoplay.
