    Cannot restore backup after an Emergency Repair

    Hi there
    I have a friend who very stupidly decided to press F11 and do an emergency repair on his HP laptop. He thought that it would make it go better! Which of course it did but he lost everything. However, the Emergency Repair does its own backup thing and I have been trying to restore the information for him from there.

    I can see all the docs and everything but the files are not accessible.

    How can I restore his backup from the backup created by the emergency repair process?
