Why is it asking me to sign in?

Double EDIT: Nvm, different version. Just do the customizable option to get the 1080p screen...

Whats wrong ordering a custom model?

Most of the time, you get better discounts via coupons than HP Academy.

You can order pre-built ones with the 1080p screen from HP but they might not have the specs you want. Typically it's both ends of the spectrum either base with the screen or everything haha. At least thats what I saw when I ordered mine.

I think this is the one that he got, this one has the 1080p display and is pre-built.

It's the dv6-6190us. You can also find that same model on Amazon and Best Buy.

    HP-1,149.99+Applicable tax
    Amazon-$1,111.99
    JR.com-$1,149.99-$50 MIR.
Just search for the dv6-6190us as there are more stores that sell that specific model.
For the price you might still want to check out the custom built and see if there's the 30% coupons around and you might find it cheaper.

This is the only model I've seen pre-built with the 1080p display

This is the specs it will come with:

Kind of dumb though. Use a regular coupon, save like 300+. use 200 of the 300 you saved to buy yourself your own Xbox, with a profit.

well, that anomaly is specific to hp and their coupon fetish. but yes, when you say it like that, it is dumb.

yet, conversely, coupons are incentives to upgrade your non-epp machine a bit more, not pocket the savings for a 4gb or 250gb xbox. i also think the whole mentality of buying a computer for $100 less and getting a free xbox overpowers that line of thinking.

Well, you can buy customized dv6 and dv7 on HP Academy as well.

I don't if it is based on certain institution ... I'm able to do so on mine on most OEMs.
