Ok, try again in English. What is the issue? Capslock comes on when you click on things on the desktop?

I am not sure about the problem. Try holding the shift key and then click some icons on the desktop and see if this is the thing that happens when you see that caps lock problem.

If it is the problem then uninstall synaptics touchpad driver and have your scroll lock turned on.

Ok sorry about the grammer. The caplock button suddenly reversed while i was typing a paper, and now when the caplock is on the keyboard type lower case letter, and vice versa. But at the same time this issue occur, whenever i highlight sometime on the desktop like an icon it will contine to be highlighted even when i click somewhere else on the desktop screen.

Ahhh, much more readable. Thanks :) Does it persist if you reboot? Have you scanned for viruses? This seems like something a joke program might do. It's not terribly common from what I can tell, though.

look I am sorry for the posting, but please let me explain my situation i am extremely paranoid right now. My history with hp hasn't been great. I returned three hp already. This is my forth, my worse nightmare is having this laptop breakdown after 14 days while doing an important assigment. I am in first year university and feeling the pressure so i don't need this worry on the back of head wondering if or when this laptop will break.

    first Hp
dv8000z returned because of caplock key problem

dv2000t #1 returned to staples after realizing it has been open

dv2000t #2 returned to staples after realizing that it was a repack of an old laptop

dv2000z #3 consideing returning it, due to caplock problem.

uninstall your synaptics touchpad driver, restart and have your scroll lock on. i had the same problem and doing this made the issue go away forever.

To stop it, hold the right shift button and then press the caps lock button and it should rescramble itself.

Its worked 6/6 times for me. (though I'm on a dv5000t)
