Hey everyone, I gave out my laptop to fix and got it back from the technician only to realize that the CAPS ON indicator light is not working.

What could be the problem causing this?

Ive tried searching online but found no real help.

Can someone steer me in the right direction or give me an idea as to what could be wrong?

Could it be a driver problem? If so what kind of driver problem exactly?

Thanks in advance for your help/replies :)

The key lights are firmware controlled (at least before the operating system boots), so if the keys don't work while your laptop before your laptop loads the operating system, there's a good chance that the light is just dead.

If its not lighting up at all then its probably dead.

Unfortunately its integrated to the system board so you cannot replace it that easily.

The systemboard needs to be replaced on the unit to have this fixed! Call tech support to get this done once again.
