    Hi,

    I have a DV1000 that originally came with a Pentium M 730 (1.6 GHz CPU).

The system recently ran out of warranty, so I decided to do stuff that would void the warranty. :) (I have lots of experience working with desktop and notebook hardware.)

    ANYWAY, I replaced the CPU with a Pentium M 770 (2.13 GHz).

However, my DV1000 is still running the CPU at 1.6 GHz! :(

Does anyone here know if there is a hardware and/or software technique to have my DV1000 recognize the new CPU's native speed?

    Thanks!
