    I don't know if it will fit or if it would require a bios hack to make it work, but if the Pioneer drive has a good return policy you might want to take a chance. The Pioneer drive has great specs!

    If you do decide to try it out, drop me a note if you can. I am interested in upgrading the drive as well.

    As long as the drive is the same size as the current tray loading drive, it shouldnt have any issues working on the laptop. However, the slot loading drive might not exactly match the angled front plate cover of the tray drive. But as mckinneydij suggested buy from a place with a good return policy.

    I think it's not going to work unless you can in some way cut the bezel to fit.
