Hi, I have an HP6510B with T7250 and a friend has proposed me in change an NC 4200 with Centrino Dothan 1.7 ghz.
The proposal is interesting for me because I need a more light and small notebook.
What about this exchange and what is the balance that I could ask for it ?

Personally, I'd say you are probably at a disadvantage. Maybe I'm wrong though, since 12.1" machines do carry a premium.
But just the single core Pentium M kind of turns me off to it.
The real question you need to ask is how much your notebook is worth. Don't use eBay...they severely undervalue HP business notebooks since most buyers/sellers on eBay think they are the consumer grade notebooks. -
In change I'd get not only the notebook but also 400 euro.
I think it wouldn't be a bad affair.
The difference in terms of performance are very evident ? -
What you have is a lot better than the one with the ancient dothan processor. With modern applications you'll see a huge difference in performance.

There will be a noticable difference in performance, so depending on your needs it may be a bad choice. Although the Pentium M is a sweet powerful chip from its day it may be lacking for what your doing.
Changing a 14.1" with a 12.1"...
