    I have an HP DV6871us.
    C2D t5550 processor.
    What processor can i upgrade to? T7 to T8 CPU?

    Yes my friend, you can actually upgrade to any 1st Gen Penryn or 2nd Gen Socket P Merom.

    (T8100, T8300, T9300, T9500 are supported.)

    ( Reference) - Just update the BIOS to the latest version before upgrading.
