Would the battery performance decrease if I have the power adapter connected all the time? Should I remove it whenever I'm not using it? Is it best to remove the battery and connect the AC Adapter when using it?

I read that it's best to charge 100% and discharge so the battery can be its full potential, but would there be any harm having the AC connected for a long time even though it should be fully charged?

I have AC plugged in 24/7, no problems. And you know i've heard in many cases if you unplug your AC adapter your computer's performance significantly decreases (that is to increase your battery duration).

I've noticed on my Dell laptop too, when I unplug AC adapter, I can notice slightly decreased performance in games.

You should read the battery guide.
It'll tell you lots of information on your notebook's battery and how to take care of it.

I rarely run off the battery. I'm always plugged in when using my notebook. I unplug my notebook when I turn it off and that's about it.
