Has anyone done a clean install for the hp dv9000t laptop? Which guide should i follow? And do i need to have a windows xp cd or do the recovery disks provide the operating system as well? Thank you![]()

Depends on your meaning of "clean" install. Recovery discs install puts back all the original programs and OS, like you just bought it brand new including all the extras (bloatwares). An install disc is only the OS. You have to install the programs you want.

Use this guide. All you need is a windows anytime upgrade disc and a flash drive. Just remember to create restore discs and save SWSetup for drivers.

I would but i heard that there isnt a good driver for my nvidia 7600 go graphics card yet, so I plan to stick with windows xp for a little while longer. I am wondering which guide for xp would work the best for my dv9000 if I want a clean install without the bloatware and would i need a windows xp install cd or is it included in the recovery disks?
