Hi, I want to do a clean install on my hp dm4. I was wondering if I could carry over Office 2010 Starter Edition? I looked in the SwSetup folder, but I could not find it. Thanks for your help in advance.

Most likely not. You would have to reinstall it, and I don't think HP saves a copy of the install file anywhere on your laptop. If you paid for it they would most likely send the disc with your laptop

Office 2010 Starter comes free with the laptop.

If I remember correctly, that version can actually be installed on multiple computers by saving it to a USB flash drive. I'll double check this, though.

EDIT: I was half right. It can be saved to a USB drive and used on other computers, but it can't be fully installed; it can only be used while the drive is connected to the computer.

That would be fine, do you know which file it is that I would have to move to the thumb drive?
