    Hi all.

I just bought a HP dv5000t, and it came with WindowXP home version.

I tried to make a clean installation with WindowXP Pro myself but as soon as it get into the installation screen. it said "the harddisk is not installed"

Are there any ways to make a clear installation to my new laptop?

    Thanks,
    Edward

You can also disable "Native SATA Support" from bios and install windows xp and then install SATA drivers as mentioned in sticky and enable native sata support again.
