So... what do you guys use to clean your DV6000 computers (if you own one)?? I've had mine for about 6 months and it's safe to say I love it. However, it has accumulated quite a large amount of fingerprints, dust, smears, and so forth... you know how it is with that sleek "fingerprint magnet" finish! I have a can of compressed air, but that doesn't work 100% I also have the little chamois cloth that came with the machine that I use periodically. I have an LCD cleaning solution that I used on my old HP that had a LCD screen... would that be safe to use on the screens for the DV6000 series screens as well? What kind of solutions do you guys have for this stuff? Thanks!

I haven't ever cleaned the screen... so nothing as of yet. What would you suggest?

I use 50% alchol and a fiber cloth like what you would use to clean reading glasses

I would just use the cloth that came with the system, and some elbow grease. Unless you've got something like soda on it, you should be able to rub out anything that's on it.

Otherwise I'd check out Staples or something to get "electronics" cleaner.

A very soft towel dampened with some warm water (just the corner). Then wipe it off with the dry part of the towel.

a damp cloth that doesnt leave small particles behind and a dry one that doesnt leave the same. those LCD cleaning wipes are handy sometimes too.

also wear leather gloves when using your machine so that you wont get anymore of those fingerprints ;)

take cloth, spit on it and wipe. Ask for some money when done.
