    Hello everyone,
So I've had this annoying problem for almost 9 months now and it's really starting to bug me. I have my HP Pavillion dv6qte-7000 set to sleep when I close the lid. Sometimes though it doesn't work successfully.

There's a light on the top of the shell of the laptop to indicate if it's still on. At times I'll close the lid and this light will remain lit. If I open the lid the screen is blank, and only the power button and Wi-Fi button are lit. I can switch the latter on and off it seems. Even if the button to mute sounds was lit before closing the lid when this happens if I open the lid it will be off and I can't switch it back.

It seems the only actions I can take is to do a hard shutdown by holding the power button. When I get back the only message I get is Windows has recovered from an unexpected error.

As I said there seems to be no pattern. I update the BIOS and the dedicated GPU and it still seems to happen. I also have a Logitech mini-receiver for the mouse that I keep plugged in at all times so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I just don't know where to start looking to get to the bottom of this. Any advice would be appreciated.
