I just received an HP dv6 quad edition today and have noticed some weird spots when I boot up initially. These four cloudy white spots appear at the bottom right corner of the screen when the screen first turns on. They only appear when the computer initially starts up and as soon as the black screen when the HP logo appears the spots are gone. They are not appearing any other time, only for a few seconds when I initially bootup. Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing these spots? It looks like maybe the backlight is bleeding through in a weird way or something. If I watch a movie or play a game with a dark screen they don't show up; it's only when I initially boot. Is this something I should be concerned with? I'm kind of anal about wanting my computer to be perfect when I pay this kind of money for it so I'm tempted to send it back, only the spots haven't shown up while doing anything else on the computer. Thanks for the help.

Myn does it. I'm pretty sure it's the hp logo that lights up on the other side. I don't think it's anything to worry about. I as well am very particular about my purchases and had to go through 3 units until I could find one that didn't suffer from light bleed along the bezel. 4 units latter I finally got one.
but they all have the issue you were talking about. Hope this helps.

I have the same issue as well, yea it's most likely the HP logo. Not a problem
