I'm a College Student, looking for a laptop with screens ranging from 14' inch to 15.4' inch at maximum. Needs to be somewhat portable to take to class, library, and all around school with wireless, battery isn't too much of a concern. Need to type reports, essays, create presentations, Internet use for Research and E-mail to communicate with Professors, Family, camera isn't too much an issue either. Also I'd like to be able to game a little as well (I'm not hardcore but I like to bash an Undead Skeleton, or Orc once in a while, or lead a Raid or two or three) to play Ragnarok Online to higher end MMoRpg's like World of Warcraft. Lightscribe I don't need, and also I'd like to burn Cd's and DVD's.
Hp/Compaq is the only place that seems to fit my budget somewhat...although with a few of these laptops they only offer that damn Graphics Media Accelerator x3100.... I don't trust it.
The 6000t offers 256MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 and the dv200t* offers the 128MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7200. Below are the models I am considering choosing from and are similar in configuration.
-dv2500t -dv2000t -dv6500t -dv600t
*2.0 GHz Intel Processor
*Vista Home Premium (32 bit)
*24 months Norton Antivirus software
*2 GB DDR 2 Ram
*3945ABG Network w/Bluetooth or 4965AGN Network w/Bluetooth
(whichever is available for each laptop series)
*120 GB hard drive
*Super Multi 8X DVD+/-R/RW w/Double Layer Support
*12 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
*2-year HP Accidental Damage Protection with Express Repair
*Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
(or the Nvidia cards I referenced above)
*HP finish/webcam/microphone(optional)
Now my questions:
*Which would benefit me the most?
*If I were to buy the laptops configured with Intels Intergrated
graphics chip *Graphics Media Accelerator X3100* would I be able
to swap it out easily with a Nvidia card like the Geforce go7400
or 7600?
*Or in any case would I be able to swap out and upgrade the graphics
card in any of the other laptops?
I really appreciate the time/help that anyone has to offer to me. This will be my first laptop and I'm hoping it can last me until i finish my bachelor's and Master's degree, so that is about 4 years.

You can't switch out any dedicated("good") cards with integrated(intel) cards. They have completely different structures and don't even use the same chipset. Basically, if you want to game and be future-proof, wait awhile for the new Geforce 8xxxM series.
