54 at last count read my messageI left about my NX9420 in dxdiag sound test not being able to complete past the 4th test before it said my soundcard does not support hardware buffering. And not one of you took the time to say it worked for you or not,
None of you can take the time to do a simple little test.
Is this a problem because I couldn't enable EAX on Dungeon siege and I had a problem with an Adobe export file.
So come on, test your system and it either will pass or not. How hard can this be!
Thanks
Dave

All right, how about telling me why you won't try this!
Its stupid...
Its dumb...
or
I don't want to know if I have the same problem
or
It doesn't matter -
I'm sorry Hagar that nobody appears to be responding to you. I do not have an HP NX9420 or I would be glad to help.

Same message came up but at the bottom it says the results were all successful. I got a little further with no acceleration on the slider but it doesn't seem like anything to worry about from my perspective.

THANK YOU....
I was thinking I was just going nuts, first I had a USB problem and come to find out it was the cable. That other cable worked in every other computer but not in this computer.
Then this sound issue. How does one know if itÂ’s a problem without knowing if its normal or not. Hp seem to think it was a problem and had me send it in. All they did was reinstall windows and it made sound.
I can't enable EAX on dungeon siege II. I think this dxdiag test thing is part of the problem. Where does one learn after buying a $1900 laptop and then finds out that the sound card doesn't do something you might expect? The video and proc are great but then there's the sound.
Go figure.
Thanks for testing it...
Best regards
Dave
Come on NX9420 or HP laptop owners, try this
